How do I cancel my Herald Premium or Viva Premium subscription?  

For subscriptions purchased on, you can now cancel online.

1. Access, make sure you are signed in with your email and password, and click your name on the top right corner.

2. Click on “My subscriptions”

3. Scroll down, then click on the “Cancel subscription” button.

4. Select the subscription you wish to cancel.

5. Select the reason why you are cancelling your subscription.

6. Confirm cancellation.

Subscriptions purchased in the NZ Herald app

You will need to cancel your subscription directly with Apple and Google. Please see the links below for how to do this for each platform.
