Chrissy Teigen had to learn to look after herself after becoming a mom of two.

The 32-year-old model talked to Women's Health for its October issue and revealed how she changed her attitude towards her body, sex and mental health after her struggle with postpartum depression.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty admits she got into unhealthy habits after her daughter was born in 2016, telling the magazine: "After Luna, I was drinking too much.

"I wasn't eating as much because I was full from drinking. I wasn't being good to my body. I remember being so bruised from nothing." she said.

According to the Daily Mail, Chrissy says it took a toll on her work as she found writing another cookbook "tortuous" during that period.

She started taking antidepressants and indulged in a wellness retreat in Bali with husband John Legend and it was there that the model shifted her perspective about taking care of herself.

"It's like, what could be more important than mental health? What's more important than being proud of yourself and doing the best you can for your body?" she said.

After two children, Chrissy is embracing how her body has changed, particularly her breasts, since becoming a breastfeeding mother.

"With your second, you just, like, pop 'em on. I look at my boobs and I'm like, What the heck happened?

"They face outwards now. They're like giant disks. I don't even know how to hide them. I forget that people are still like, 'Whoa!' And I don't mean to shove my boob in their faces." Chrissy laughed.

Chrissy said it's upsetting to her when people set unrealistic expectations for their fans.

"I know they're Facetuning, Photoshopping—and even I'm getting down on myself!" she said.

But she's learning to embrace her new normal, as she explained that the weight she always thought she should be and stay at during her 20s was unrealistic.

"I started realising it was a swimsuit-model weight. There's a very big difference between wanting to be that kind of fit and wanting to be happy-fit."

"Honestly, I don't ever have to be in a swimsuit again,"she said.

The Utah born beauty welcomed son Miles on May 16 and during the interview revealed that she had been cleared to exercise and have sex again - when she has the energy.

"It doesn't matter who you are—even if you're a sexy R&B crooner or an ex–swimsuit model, you're just tired!" she admitted.

"We still have that passion for each other, but are we doing it randomly in a dressing room? No!

"We'll get back into it again. But it is funny: If he performs somewhere, and I go, I'm like, 'Oh, he's sexy.' We'll probably have sex that night."

Putting that passion on display the couple, who have been together 11 years and married for five, were spotted passionately kissing as they left the GQ Men Of The Year Awards in London on Wednesday.
