It seems Chris Knight's reign as manager of Central Soccer Eastern Region will be a short one.
Appointed back in January, Knight (below) tended his resignation a week ago and will officially step down on June 7.
Chief executive Milene Haakman said she was disappointed Knight had chosen to step down, but wanted to re-assure everyone that there was nothing cloak and dagger about his decision.
"There's no bad feelings at all," she said.
"He's an accountant and having done the job for a while he just decided it's not for him. I am upset about it but people have to love their work and Chris has decided he didn't want to continue in the job.
"But we've got a seven-a-side tournament coming up on June 10 and Chris has offered to stay on and help organise that. In fact he's happy to stay on for as long as it takes to find a replacement, which is wonderful."
Haakman has already begun advertising to find Knight's replacement, with applications closing on Thursday.
