Take Three: Produced a big late run from last on the home turn to finish fourth over 1600m at Otaki on April 14, on a day when it was hard to make ground from the back. Looks close to a return to the winner's circle.
Danzing: Looked more than a little unlucky when second over 1400m at Otaki on April 14 where she got back in the running and than had to weave a path through. Only a length from the winner.
Soundspice: Seemed to get a bit lost after jumping from the outside barrier over 1000m at Otaki on April 14 and covered plenty of extra ground before finishing sixth. Should be improved by the run.
Bronte: Had no luck when 10th over 1400m at Awapuni on April 16 where she was in cramped quarters all the way up the straight and then lost all momentum when sandwiched between horses 100 metres out. Forget the run.
Harbour Magic: Rider said he was never in the clear all the way up the home straight over 1600m at Awapuni on April 16 and finished full of running, in behind the placegetters. Forget that run.
Sonatina: Good effort for third over 1400m at Te Rapa on April 16 where she had to be used up a fair bit in the early stages to overcome a wide draw.
