A police pursuit through Hastings in the early hours of this morning ended when the Nissan Utility vehicle crashed as it tried to take a corner on the outskirts of Hastings.
Police say the utility was carrying false number plates and had been stolen several days earlier
The driver failedto take a corner off Copeland Rd in Akina, which runs between Norton Rd and Riverslea Rd and the vehicle crashed just before 3.45am.
Three youths in the car were not injured and are assisting police with their enquiries.
Charges relating to dangerous driving and theft of the utility are expected to follow.
