GNS Science geologist Greg Browne, who discovered the first dinosaur footprints in the South Island, is speaking at 7.30 tonight at the National Aquarium of New Zealand, Marine Parade, Napier.
Replicas of the sauropod footprints he found are on display in Dinosaur Footprints: A Story of Discovery exhibition, at the aquarium until January 11.
The exhibition is complemented by a display of dinosaur-themed paintings by Rotorua artist Geoffrey Cox.
GNS Science geologist, palaeontologist and fossil expert Hamish Campbell is planning a visit to the aquarium on December 7. He will hold a fossil ID session, and will give a talk at the Holt Planetarium at Napier Boys' High School on December 8.
