Six police vehicles quietly ghosted into Napier's Riverbend Rd with a search warrant but left soon after.
A witness told Hawke's Bay Today a procession of up to 6 police vehicles turned quietly onto Riverbend Rd about 3.10pm.
The police vehicles appeared to flash their lights at traffic, to allow them to proceed safely from Latham St onto Riverbend Rd, without their sirens activated.
They stopped near a Riverbend Rd address where an ambulance was parked.
The police vehicles and ambulance left soon after.
The large police presence had led to curious people exiting their homes to see what was happening, the witness said.
A police spokeswoman said staff were conducting a pre-planned search warrant at the address and the investigation was ongoing.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said they received a call at 2.55pm and treated a person at the scene, but they did not require hospital treatment.
