Running went off-road over the weekend, with the annual Hawke's Bay Trail Run Series reaching its penultimate race for the year. With just one more race to go in the six-race series, Hawke's Bay Today photographer Paul Taylor was at the Sacred Hill Rifleman's Vineyard to catch all the action, with competitors taking part in three categories, comprising a short course of 5–9km, a medium course of 15km for walkers and runners, and a half marathon of 21.1km for runners only. Dougie Kyle recorded the fastest time of 1.46.18, with Michelle Lorck (1.59.09) the fastest female on the day.
