Hawke's Bay house-hunters have been given the chance to make an offer on yet another of the region's million-dollar dream homes - this time one of the biggest around.
Last year 54 properties in Hawkes Bay sold for $1m or more - a number expected to rise next month if a huge 728.5sq m seven-bedroom mansion can find a new owner.
Harcourts Hawke's Bay listing agent Bill Tawhai said there were only a "handful" of properties at that size in Hawke's Bay.
"This is the largest home currently on the market in the Bay," he said.
Located at 36 Napier Street in Jervoistown, the property comprised seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, three lounges, two kitchens and a double garage.
"Overnight visitors, relative or AirBnB are catered for with a self-contained apartment featuring two double bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.
"Set back from the road the home is arrived at via loop driveway passing under a covered entrance atrium for all-weather access with internal double garage with plenty of practical storage.
"It's a stunning property inviting interest from the executive family for whom effortless living is a priority and hospitality a passion.
"It feels like a 5-star hotel with everything you could hope for and yes, it is my most expensive home so far. Gardens are like going to a private park or perfect wedding scene."
The house, on a 5667sq m section, will be sold be deadline treaty by April 4.
The property, which has a rateable value of $1.5m, will have a way to go to break the region's record house price sale. That title went to 110 Durham Drive in Havelock North, which sold for $2.4m in November last year.
