A rural Hawke's Bay road was blocked for most of the day yesterday after a truck and trailer rolled in Central Hawke's Bay.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 11am yesterday to reports a truck had rolled near State Highway 2, Te Hauke.
The crash occured on Te Aute Trust Rd, nearly 5km south of SH2, and before Pukekura Settlement Rd.
A police spokeswoman said the trailer had rolled. The truck cab was still upright, and it did not appear as though the driver had recieved any injuries.
The truck appeared to be carrying produce, with beetroot spilled over the road.
A few vehicles had been stuck behind the truck after the crash yesterday before police closed the road. Cordons were in place at the Middle Rd and SH2 ends of Te Aute Trust Rd while Hawke's Bay Towing was brought in to remove the truck.
A olice spokeswoman said the Central Hawke's Bay Council assisted with traffic control until the road reopened yesterday afternoon.
