12. Waitangi Family Festival at Clive — Tuesday, February 6
The day will start with a formal welcome at 9am with a hikoi, led by Henare O'Keefe, which will start at the Celestial Compass, arriving at Clive Domain. That will be followed by a pageant on the river, re-enacting the arrival of European migrants escorted by Tangata Whenua on the waka and the signing of the Treaty of Peace and Harmony.
At the conclusion the Waka Taua Nga Tukemata O Kahungunu will provide free rides all day for the public.
