A woman who was injured during a crash in Napier on Tuesday night is still in hospital.
The woman, in her 40s, was taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital in a serious condition by St John Ambulance following a crash between Latham St and Georges Dr about 7.15pm.
A Hawke's Bay Hospital spokesperson said the woman is now in a serious but stable condition in Intensive Care.
Emergency services attended and cordons were in place for a short time. The Serious Crash Unit also attended.
A Napier resident previously said there were ''quite a few'' police cars in attendance and the road had been closed. They were at the scene for more than an hour, he said.
He believed it involved a black 4WD and possibly a white car, which was removed from the scene soon afterwards.
Another resident thought the accident had been between a car and bicycle but this has not been confirmed.
