After a record number of nominations Milton Naylor has been elected to lead the Havelock North Business Association.
The new president said it was an exciting time for Havelock North, as they have a strong platform to continue to build the village brand locally, nationally and internationally.
"Sam and his team have done an amazing job of raising the profile of the Havelock North brand, this is shown in the number of people who have put up the hand to volunteer for the executive and continue this great work and continue to grow Havelock North."
Mr Naylor said after a tough six weeks in the village things were starting to look up with everyone looking forward to the spring and summer season.
Alongside the drive to bring customers back to the village the association was working with businesses with a number of initiatives to improve there capabilities.
He said it was important they made the local business owners feel confident so they could run all aspects of their businesses.
"We have workshops planned, our Meet & Greet networking events are proving popular and we have other business initiatives under way to ensure we continue to grow."
"The Porters Hotel Development and increase in the number of new commercial business which will now be based in Havelock North means the village is becoming a strong commercial hub."
The new Love Havelock North Team also featured Hamish Pringle as treasurer, Murray Douglas as secretary and the executives were Wayne Bradshaw, Shaun Driscoll, Jeni Gilbert Cox, Sam Jackman, Cameron Jones, Jane Mackersey, Liv Reynolds, Dale Rimene, Jarnail Singh, Hilton Taylor, Neil Wagstaff and Catherine Wedd.
