Hawke's Bay Police stopped a stolen car with the assistance of spikes in Hastings after the car narrowly missed a woman crossing a Napier road with young children.
Three occupants of the car have been arrested and will appear in Court tomorrow on a range of charges relating to a number of incidents that the vehicle was allegedly involved in during the day around Hawke's Bay.
The maroon Subaru Legacy station wagon, number plate EDN480, was stolen from Dannevirke sometime in the last few days.
In a statement today police said they had information the vehicle was driving erratically near Angkor Wat Bakery on Dalton St, Napier, and narrowly missed a woman crossing the road with young children.
Police would like this woman to call Constable Dan Hicks at Hawke's Bay Police on (06) 831 0700.
Police are appealing for any other witnesses who may have seen the vehicle around the Hawke's Bay area today to also call Police.
