Police are hunting two males who robbed a Napier service station at knifepoint on Saturday night.
The two heavily disguised males went into the Gull service station on Taradale Rd at 11pm, both armed with knives. They threatened the shop assistant with the knives and demanded cash.
Detective John McGregor said the robbers escaped with a sum of cash and about $1500 worth of cigarettes and tobacco. The two offenders were last seen running towards Prebensen Drive.
Mr McGregor said police believed the robbers were in their teens or early 20s. One wore a Spiderman mask and a yellow hood, and the other one wore a grey beanie and red bandanna across his face.
No one was injured in the robbery.
"These two were very well disguised and made an effort to conceal their identity," Mr McGregor said.
"We're hoping that someone may recognise the clothing worn by the robbers, which is quite distinctive."
Anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the robbers should contact Mr McGregor at HB Police on 06 2113809 or information can be left anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
