Hawke's Bay has plenty of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. We list 7 of the best on offer this weekend.

This is the third class in a series of monthly weekend workshops where you can learn something new, extend your skills and network with other art enthusiasts. Printmaker Lisa Feyen will guide you through the complexities of copper sulphate etching. This workshop is suitable for artists who have not tried printmaking before, or those who are familiar with printmaking but haven't yet tried this method of etching. Today and tomorrow, 10.30am to 3pm, Community Arts Centre in Napier. Tickets door sales only, $90.

2. The Jazz Casuals

Fresh from the Wellington Jazz Festival, The Jazz Casuals will be performing at the Napier Sailing Club. A concert of music and readings in commemoration of the battles of the Western Front during World War 1 will be held this evening. The concert is intended as an opportunity for reflection, as local musicians and poets tell the stories of the men and women who gave all they could to the cause of peace. Doors open at 7pm tonight. The concert will run from 7.20pm to 9.30pm, at St Matthew's Anglican Church, in Hastings. This is an all-ages event. Tickets $15 adults, $10 fseniors and students. Door sales only.

5. Social sewing

A group of sewers, dressmakers, quilters and fabricaholics will gather tomorrow to share their joint love for beautiful fabric and making things out of it for themselves, friends and family. This is a great chance to progress any fabric projects you may have in a friendly, supportive and relaxed environment.
At Keirunga Gardens, Havelock North. A contribution of $7 cash for the venue hire is needed and you must bring your own supplies. To RSVP, visit the Hawke's Bay Fabric Hoarders Facebook page.

6. Rest and Restore Yoga

Slow Sunday yoga is all about resting and restoring and today's practice will be held at Breathe Yoga, Havelock North. The weekly rejuvenation sessions are a wonderful addition to your current yoga practice and also suitable for those recovering from an illness. No prior experience is required. Tickets are $15. To book, email raechapman@gmail.com or text 021 1282 810.

7. F.A.W.C! A Super Celebration

Terrace View is opening its doors to show off its new look, with a "Super Celebration". The order of the night will be to enjoy great wine, food, and music in a beautiful setting. Boutique wineries will be on hand to pour a fantastic array of wines while Wellington rockers Uncle Monkey will be playing live music all evening.
