As another year comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the year that was and everything that has happened in 2015.
It's been a busy old year! It was a year of personal growth for Sarah as she embarked on a bit of a lifestyle change, completing two half-marathons and losing some weight (a lot of which she has found again).
Martin branched out and as well as being a radio announcer can now legally marry people as a registered celebrant.
Sarah fulfilled a lifelong dream of singing with a band (Martin's) and Martin and his band Badger went on to perform their first live show at the Cabana.
We both travelled to Auckland to find out for the third time that we hadn't won a Radio Award (Hey, there's always next year, fourth time's a charm right?)
On the show, we've given away many great prizes: a new car, overseas holidays and even a wedding. In fact our Married With Children competition would be Sarah's highlight of the year. We got to meet some amazing families and had the privilege of being part of Tamara and Clinton's big day, organised by their beautiful children Dante and Kaiyah. Martin dressed up as Batman with his faithful sidekick The Pig (Sarah) to fit in with the Onesie/Superhero theme and it was an awesome and very unique day.
Martin says his highlight would be the night we took over Mexi Mama for our MKR Instant Restaurant; but then he would say that as My Kitchen Rules star Henry Heke and our guests declared him the winner of the evening.
The last few months have been quite different in our workplace with massive renovations going on. We're the only members of our staff left in our building and we've suffered through months of no toilet facilities and no running water; when we visit the other workplace where the rest of the staff are we like to use their bathroom multiple times just because we can.
So, bring on 2016, when we'll have a toilet, brand new office and no doubt lots more fun! Merry Christmas, everyone. We'll be back on air on January 11.
