Beat the cold this winter with some MidWinter Art organised through Te Whare o Te Ata, the Fairfield community house.
Get warm beating a drum, learn to play a guitar - or hone your drawing skills.
Places are limited and bookings are essential for the Saturday morning and Monday afternoon sessions. Participants must be aged at least 16 years. Beginners and older people are welcome.
All sessions call for a gold coin donation.
Wai Taiko drumming performers will take the taiko and African drumming sessions starting on June 9 at Fairfield Hall from 10am till noon. Sessions will be held on June 9, 16, 23 and 30.
Saturday guitar lessons with Robert Hooper will be held at Te Whare o Te Ata, 60A Sare Cres, from 10-11am on June 9, 16, 23 and 30.
A series of five drawing workshops with artist Paul Bradley will be held at Te Whare o Te Ata on Mondays from 3.30-4.30pm on June 18, 25 and July 2, 9, 23 and 30.
