The Coromandel Peninsula is top of the list for Kiwis when it comes to holiday spots they want to visit this summer.
According to a survey of 7,000 New Zealanders by Trade Me's travel website Travelbug, Coromandel collected 18 percent of the vote.
Northland came in second with 14 percent and the Nelson/Tasman region took bronze with 12 percent.
And for those keen to leave the country, the sun and sand of Queensland on Australia's east coast is the most alluring, with 40 percent of respondents keen to head there for their next break.
