Just days before hitting our shores, Nicki Minaj released yet another version of her Pink Friday album - this time called Pink Friday Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up.
Whether coincidence or not, releasing an album in New Zealand just ahead of her performance in Auckland was a smart move, no doubt renewing the enthusiasm of fans.
It may not be filled with a whole bunch of new tracks but I think it's a good time anyway.
I don't have an issue with her releasing another version of the album at all - and as a Kiwi fan, I loved the timing of the album.
Although I have all other versions of the Pink Friday album as well, Pink Friday Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up, once added to my collection, was No 1 on my playlist in the days before and after Minaj's Auckland concert.
The album is filled with hyped-up tracks which put you in an upbeat mood and make you want to dance your butt off.
There is no other female rapper who can come close to what she is doing right now - it's fitting she calls herself the female L'il Wayne.
She mixes her hip-hop and pop together to make amazing music.
With tracks including Stupid Hoe, Automatic, Va Va Voom, Whip It, Pound the Alarm, Beez in the Trap, it's pretty easy to feel confident of a good time.
