New Zealand has selected an exciting young squad of golfers to compete in both the mens and womens Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in June 10-15 this year.
Juliana Hung (Canterbury), Carmen Lim (Auckland) and Rose Zheng (Auckland) show a nice mix of international experience and youth as they look to compete against the worlds best at the
Chukyo Golf Club Ishino Course, Japan.
With the current New Zealand Stroke Play and recent South Island U19 champion, Hung leading the way, it will be interesting to see how she goes on the world stage as she continues her great run of form.
After impressive seasons on the Jennian Homes Charles Tour, Tom Parker (Canterbury), Kevin Koong (North Harbour), Hiroki Miya (Canterbury) and Shaun Campbell (BOP) have also been named to take on the world in 72 holes of stroke play.
The Toyota Junior Golf World Cup is the world's only junior golf championship in which 24 international teams qualified to participate with it featuring 15 mens and 9 womens teams.
The organising committee of the Toyota Junior World Cup encourage each team member to play with a patriotic spirit during the competition, while providing them with the opportunity to develop international friendship during the event.
In addition to the international competition, the tournament committee's goal is to assist in developing junior golf for future of this global game.
