Thrusting 6000m skywards, Kwangde Peak in Nepal will test even the most hardened adventurers.
A 23-day trip that includes a challenging ascent through magnificent alpine valleys to Kwangde Peak, departs from Kathmandu on October 7 with World Expeditions.
From Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch, the trip costs $7775, will be guided by Australian mountaineer Sue Fear and include 17 days of trekking with visits to sacred lakes and camping on Kwangde's southern glacier at 5400m.
The summit gives those who make it to the top a view of the entire Khumbu Himal from Makalu, Everest across to the Tibetan border.
Other trips will be made on April 7 and October 6 next year.
