The live-action version of the Disney classic Aladdin is coming to theatres in May and one of the stars has shared a heartfelt tribute to an icon who came before him.
Yesterday, Will Smith posted a lovely tribute to the late Hollywood star Robin Williams.
Williams 27 years ago voiced the popular character Genie, and Smith has done the same for the new Aladdin film coming out soon.
"I know Genies don't have Feet... But you left some Big Shoes to fill. R.I.P., Robin! And Thank You, @helloluigi Love the art work!"
Along with the heartfelt caption is an illustration by character designer and concept artist Luigi Lucarelli of two cartoon Genies, one representing the old Williams' Genie and one that showed what an animated rendition of Smith's Genie.
Smith shared the tribute on Instagram just hours after the first full-length trailer for the film dropped.
The actor posted the trailer to his followers and revealed that he has watched the whole thing.
"IT IS FIRE. I AM HYPED!!!," he wrote.
