One person complained they were all gone in 22 seconds. Another found them on ticket resale sites at vastly inflated prices.

Fans are full of complaints after Kendrick Lamar sold out two Auckland shows in quickfire succession this afternoon.

The first, on July 19, sold out in a matter of minutes when tickets went on sale at midday. A second, announced at 12.45pm for July 20, did exactly the same thing when tickets went on sale at 1pm.

The only option left for those wanting to see the Grammy-winning Compton rapper on his The Damn Tour is to head to Dunedin, with limited tickets remaining for his show at Forsyth Barr Stadium on July 17.

Fans took to Twitter to complain about the speed with which tickets sold out when they went on sale today.

One fan claimed tickets had sold out after just 22 seconds, but promoters said all tickets were gone after 24 minutes.

Just minutes after going on sale, ticket resale site Viagogo was listing tickets for inflated prices.

Lamar will be here on the back of his last album DAMN. He was last here headlining Auckland City Limits music festival in 2016.

His latest tour has received rave reviews since it debuted at last year's Coachella Music Festival. The Independent gave his recent London show a five-star review, calling it "masterful".

"Kendrick exudes confidence, a messianic figure come to Earth to try and solve its maladies, yes, but also show it a hell of a good time."
