Lorde has received rave reviews for her appearance on Saturday Night Live, with fans calling her performance "dazzling" and "raw".
The Kiwi pop star Lorde performed new songs Green Light and ballad Liability for the first time on SNL - a weekend comedy show that averages more than 10 million viewers.
The singer-songwriter's performances were introduced by this week's host, Scarlett Johanson, and was met with rapturous applause.
The songs are from her new album Melodrama due for release on June 16.
Her appearance quickly earned rave reviews from fans, who took to social media to call the new songs "heartfelt".
Others praised her outfits and dancing, and praised her for her live vocal performance.
Lorde's last appearance was in 2015, alongside English electronic music duo Disclosure.
She has festival appearances booked at Coachella in April and Governor's Ball in June.
