Rumours of a new, slimmer model of PlayStation 4 have emerged, following the posting of images on UK auction site Gumtree.
Depicting a version of the console with rounded corners, a marginally smaller footprint and thickness, and physical power and eject buttons, the images (mirrored below) suggest Sony is about to release a slim PS4 model as an answer to Microsoft's Xbox One S.
Bearing a hard drive size of 500GB, the model would likely be intended as an entry-level alternative to the upcoming, higher-specced PS4 Neo.
The auction was listed at £295 (NZ$532), and has since been taken offline.
Sony has previously released Slim models of all its PlayStation consoles - and in the case of the PS3, an additional Super Slim model.
More information about the PS4 Neo - and Slim, if the images are legitimate - will likely be revealed at Sony's "PlayStation Meeting" on September 7th in New York.
