Wentworth Miller has lashed out at an internet meme while revealing his battles against depression and mental health issues.
The Prison Break star, who played Michael Scofield in the popular series from 2005-2009, took to Facebook to share the meme and write his thoughts about it.
Posted by The LAD Bible, it showed two photos of Miller, one from his days on Prison Break, the other in which he had gained weight.

Taken in 2010, Miller said the second photo was taken at a time when he was "at the lowest point of my adult life".
"I was looking everywhere for relief/comfort/distraction. And I turned to food. It could have been anything. Drugs. Alcohol. Sex. But eating became the one thing I could look forward to," Miller wrote.
"There were stretches when the highlight of my week was a favorite meal and a new episode of TOP CHEF. Sometimes that was enough. Had to be. And I put on weight. Big f***ing deal."
Miller went on to say he was proud of the photo as it "reminded of my struggle ... my endurance and my perseverance in the face of all kinds of demons".
He last hit the headlines in 2013 when he revealed he was gay in a letter that declined an invitation to the St Petersburg International Film Festival.
Miller is returning to Prison Break for a nine-episode arc airing later this year.
