Thousands of costume-clad fantasy fans took over the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau today, with the annual Armageddon Expo once again giving them the chance to rub shoulders with the stars behind some of their favourite characters.
The entertainment expo had everything from comics, anime and toys to live wrestling and sci-fi collectibles.
Not to mention international cosplay celebrities, costume events and "zombie alley".
Celebrity wrestler Haku, also known as King Tonga, was there to take part in the live wrestling event.
There were special appearances from a variety of television and movie actors - including Richard Dean Anderson who plays Macgyver on Stargate SG1 - as well as cartoon guests and YouTube stars.
It was Armageddon's 21st year and it will now move on to Christchurch and then Dunedin over the next two weekends.
The expo continues in Auckland tomorrow from 9am-6pm.
