US actor Channing Tatum emailed Quentin Tarantino every day for a month in an effort to snag a role in new movie The Hateful Eight.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Tatum told host Jimmy Fallon that he had been trying to keep his role in the movie a secret ahead of its release on December 31.
The actor later revealed that he bombarded the director with emails to keep him from hiring anyone else for the role.
"I basically sent about an email a day for about a month just threatening any other actors that might be up for the role," he said.
"I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role."
The Magic Mike star admitted he was nervous during his first table read with the rest of the cast, which includes Samuel L Jackson, Bruce Dern, Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
"I start getting terrified. I'm just shaking. I've never been so nervous," he said.
