A Kiwi model who has graced the pages of Playboy magazine says Kim Dotcom begged her to marry him - even though she'd only met the internet mogul once.
But Dotcom, 41, says his messages were a joke and he only wanted to hire her as a personal trainer.
Amy Lee Summers, 24, tells this week's edition of Woman's Day that, over a series of text messages, Dotcom promised to "lose my excess weight" if the glamour model said yes to his marriage proposal.
"He went off the deep end and it was really overwhelming, to be honest," says Summers, who says she had only met Dotcom once when she visited him with a friend at his Coatesville mansion to watch him film a music video.
"I worry for him a bit because although he is a cool guy, funny and interesting, if he's looking for a partner, he is looking in the wrong places ...
"If he only wants a trophy, a beautiful girl he can show-pony around and spoil with presents, then I'm sure there are girls who would like that lifestyle ... but either way he picked the wrong girl."
Dotcom told the Herald he was "clearly joking".
"She's a fitness freak and I wanted to hire her as a personal trainer to lose some weight. I think she would have been an exceptional motivator," Dotcom said.
"In hindsight I'm glad I didn't hire her because she's obviously untrustworthy. Releasing private text messages to the media isn't classy."
Dotcom's marriage to Mona Dotcom broke down last year when she fled the mansion in a golf cart late one night. They wed in 2009 and have four children together.
