It's the time of the year the gang in Ferndale hate the most.
It's Christmas cliffhanger time again - the most dangerous time of the year for the staff at Shortland Street, where cast members are 10 times more likely to die in some horrific event than at any other time of year.
The cast and crew of New Zealand's longest-running soap have just wrapped filming this year's 90-minute extravaganza. No one is giving anything away in the life and death stakes, but Spy has learned there is to be a wedding for two of the show's lovebirds.
Our exclusive shot shows a cameo appearance from popular musical group Sol3 Mio, who take part in the wedding.
Michael Galvin (Chris Warner) was on hand to pose for pictures and was involved in the boys' day of filming.
Galvin is a massive fan of Sol3 Mio, and says he was more excited to meet them than the boys were to meet him.
"I think Sol3 Mio are amazing," he said. "We are so lucky to have them on our show. Their singing was perfection and adds an entirely new dimension to what is already an incredibly powerful episode."
The boys aren't giving too much away about their time on set, but said they had a great time.
The trio has had a huge couple of months, releasing an album last month, filming for Shortland Street and performing for the All Blacks' recent homecoming from the Rugby World Cup. They also have a national tour kicking off in February.
Shorty will screen its final episode for the year in mid-December.
