British rock band Coldplay have debuted the first song from their new album and it seems Chris Martin feels alive again.
The frontman appears to be in much happier spirits on the first track, Adventure Of A Lifetime, than he did on his last record Ghost Stories, understood to be about his breakup with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.
The first single from the upcoming album, titled A Head Full Of Dreams, has a noticeably happy refrain.
"I feel my heart beating because you make me feel like I'm alive again," Martin sings.
There are a few possibilities as to who exactly is making Martin feel alive.
The first high profile person Martin dated after his break up was Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence and if anyone has the potential to make someone feel alive it's definitely the effervescent actress.
Martin has also been pictured recently with his reported new girlfriend, Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis.
Musically, Martin was much clearer about the influences behind the song, citing classic rock band Guns 'N Roses as an unlikely inspiration.
"I'd been begging Jonny (Buckland) our guitarist for years to make a riff that I like as much as Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses, then he showed me that one, and I was like, 'That's it!' So those elements all came together, and we just wanted to kind of embrace our love of joyful music and sort of let it free," Martin told SiriusXM satellite radio station.
Martin also suggested that this could be the band's last album.
"It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that. Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something," he told BBC presenter Zane Lowe.
"I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise, we wouldn't put everything into it."
A Head Full Of Dreams will be released on December 4.
