They may have announced their marriage break-up on live radio, but this weekend The Hits hosts Polly Gillespie and Grant Kerema will face something even scarier - a night in a haunted house.
The pair announced this morning that they will travel to Australia this weekend to stay at the Monte Cristo homestead, known as Australia's most haunted house, as part of their "Weird Tingly Weekend".
The house is said to be haunted by the home's original owners Christopher and Elizabeth Crawley, who died in 1910 and 1933 respectively.
Earlier this year, Australian current affairs programme The Project interviewed owner Olive Ryan, who has lived in the house since 1963.
"I've had my name called when I've been here by myself. It's nothing to hear footsteps on the balcony and you go out and there's no one there," she said.
The idea to go across the ditch for the experience was suggested by Sydney radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
"We went to the bosses, and we said 'Kyle and Jackie O think we should go to Monte Christo', really just to get a trip to Australia (laughs)... and they said yeah!" Grant said this morning.
Polly and Grant will fly to Sydney, then to Wagga Wagga and drive on to Junee where the haunted house is located. However, Polly seems a little apprehensive about the whole thing.
"Ok cool. I am sleeping in full running gear... I'm telling you this right now," she said.
"If a ghost tries to hold me down, if I see a lady in a black hat appears standing on the dressing table, I'm getting the car keys and I am getting the hell out of Junee."
If they survive the weekend, Polly and Grant will report back about their experiences on Monday morning on The Hits.
