A Lorde fan, @Lorde_fix, posted a link to the song on Twitter, saying:
"In a move that's dividing #Mockingjay fans, Republic just released an upbeat Radio Remix of JLaw's "The HangingTree"
Adding "...and yes this remix of Jen's song is real (not fan-made), as the official audio has been posted on the AllAccess US radio release database.
The Yellow Flicker Beat hitmaker responded to the tweet saying: "i promise this has nothing to do with me".
Fans of both Lorde and The Hunger Games movie have slammed the up-tempo remix of the orginally sombre song.
The Mockingjay Part One soundtrack, which was released last month, was compiled by Lorde and features artists Chvrches, the Chemical Brothers, Arianda Grande, Major Lazer, Tove Lo, and Kanye West.
