Fans of DIY show The Block will have the chance to get a sneak preview of the finished homes next month.

Each of the four houses in Auckland's Pt Chevalier will be open to the public for one day only on Saturday, October 25.

The duos who renovated the homes - Maree and James, Jo and Damo, Alex and Corban, and Quinn and Ben - will also be on site as their hard work is inspected by the fans.

The public viewing will also be filmed for the final episodes of the series.

In previous years, the open homes days were highly successful, with thousands of fans from around the country queuing to take a peak at their favourite teams home.

Almost 3 million New Zealanders have watched this years series of The Block, TV3 said today, an increase in viewers from last year.
