Meryl Streep has played menacing roles before, but she's all kinds of freaky in her latest film.
Disney has released the official movie poster for its upcoming musical adaptation Into the Woods, starring the three-time Oscar winner as the evil witch.
The poster shows the 65-year-old Streep in all her terrifying glory with stringy hair, dirty make-up, gnarled hands and long nails.
Based on the Tony award-winning 1987 Broadway musical, Into the Woods stars James Corden and Streep's Devil Wears Prada co-star Emily Blunt as a childless baker and his wife, who journey into the woods to find the witch that placed a curse on their family.
The film boasts an all-star cast including Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf, Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick as Cinderella and Chris Pine as her prince.
Into the Woods is being directed by Rob Marshall, who also brought musical adaptation Chicago to the screen in 2002 and last helmed Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 2011.
The trailer, released on July 31, gave fans glimpses of the star-studded cast bringing the Grimms fairytale mash-up to life.
But it only teased a tiny glimpse of three-time Oscar nominee Depp playing the ravenous wolf and was devoid of any songs from Stephen Sondheim's musical.
