He's played everyone from Wolverine to Van Helsing, but Hugh Jackman has never had to shave his head for a movie. Until now.
On Tuesday the 45-year-old Australian actor shared a photo on Instagram where he had not a hair on his head, but was showing off a shapely beard and wide mustache.
'Blackbeard is born,' the Tony winner captioned the image with the hashtag Pan to remind everyone he's starring in the new Peter Pan film.
The handsome star looked almost unrecognisable as he stared into the camera while still wearing a barber's black smock.
He appeared to be sitting in a hair and makeup room as a blow dryer and makeup products could be seen in a desk in the background.
"You look like the dude from breaking bad," wrote one follower. "Noooooo, I can't look," wrote another.
Peter Pan has been shooting in England with his Les Miserbales co-star Amanda Seyfried as Mary. Rooney Mara is set as Tiger Lily and Garrett Hedlund is Hook. Child actor Levi Miller is Peter Pan.
Model Cara Delevingne also has a role as a mermaid.
The new bald look is quite a contrast for Hugh as only two days earlier he was seen with a full head of hair while attending the Tony awards with his wife.
The actor performed a number for the show, where he wore a full beard.
Jackman is on a hot streak this year as he has starred in the hit film X-Men: Days Of Future Past and has shot Broadway 4D with Christina Aguilera.
Later this year the versatile performer will star as circus owner PT Barnum in The Greatest Showman On Earth.
Last month he revealed he had another procedure to remove cancer from his face. He also urged his Instagram followers to wear sunscreen.
