Robyn Malcolm has been fined and disqualified from driving for six months.
The 47-year-old Outrageous Fortune actress appeared at Auckland District Court today where she entered a plea of guilty to one charge of driving with excess breath alcohol.
A blood sample found Malcolm had 121 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood after she breath tested over the legal limit on the evening of May 19.
The legal limit is 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood.
She was convicted and fined $500 in addition to costs of $305, and was disqualified from driving for six months.
The judge took into account Malcom's early guilty plea and that she had not previously appeared before the courts.
That night she was stopped by police for a routine breath test in Hopetoun St in inner Auckland.
She had been out for dinner with friends where she drank a few glasses of wine, and was dropping a friend home when she was stopped at the checkpoint, "and the rest is history'', said her lawyer John Ropati.
At the time she reportedly described herself as a "bloody idiot'', and said she deeply regretted her actions.
