THE ZOO
Poor old Molek the tiger is still down in the dumps. Not even her new mate Oz can bring a smile to her dial. If that doesn't have you reaching for the hanky tonight, then just wait until you meet the two baby kiwi. The spider monkeys will have you blubbing too.
7.30pm, Prime
TOP GEAR
Tonight's instalment signing off the latest series is a special made a couple of seasons ago in recognition of the 2006 Winter Olympics. The Top Gear team travel to Norway where they recreate Olympic events - using cars of course.
Highlights include a rocket-powered mini being fired off a ski jump, and Jeremy Clarkson and James May tackling the biathlon in 4WDs. James drives the Audi Q7 and uses a standard rifle, while Jeremy opts for the Volvo XC90 and - wouldn't you know it - a machine gun. The loser is supposed to eat yellow snow. Meanwhile, Richard Hammond stages a game of car ice hockey, and the new Jaguar XK races a speed skater.
Petrolheads will be sad to see the show go but not as sad as Prime as it's the network's top-rating show. Next week it will be replaced by Dr Who - not renowned for his four-wheel drifts but we bet the Tardis could set a hot lap time.
8PM, TV3
30 ROCK

SUNDAY THEATRE: PERSUASION
The third television drama in this season of adaptations of Jane Austen novels is based on a story written by the author in failing health.
Persuasion, published after she died, is widely regarded as having some autobiographical elements and is something of a tribute to herself and other women who did not make a match in their youth.
Sally Hawkins (Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky) plays Anne Elliot, who at the age of 19, fell in love with dashing young Naval officer Frederick Wentworth (Rupert Penry-Jones, on air now as Adam Carter in Spooks).
But with neither money nor rank on his side, Anne's family were against the match and persuaded her to break off the engagement.
Now 27, Anne regrets her decision. She has never stopped loving Wentworth, and when he returns from sea having made his fortune and reputation, she can only watch as eligible young women swoon at his feet.
She is tortured by thoughts that he has either forgotten her or cannot forgive her for listening to her family instead of her heart.
The Wentworth character is also thought to have been inspired by Austen's two brothers, who made their fortunes with the Royal Navy.
Anne's infuriatingly snobbish and vain family provide comic relief, with Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Little Britain) and Julia Davies playing her father and sister respectively.
The story also has parallels with Mansfield Park, one of Austen's earlier novels in which one of the themes is staying true to yourself no matter the consequences.
