Actress Melissa McCarthy was left so battered and bruised by her stunts on the set of new action comedy Spy, she took a break from filming to get a massage - only to slip and injure her back walking to the salon.
McCarthy was sore from performing action sequences in the film and wanted to ease her pain with a professional masseuse, but she ended up slipping near a pool and falling on her back.
"You had to walk past the pool in this hotel and the whole outside of the pool was marble, which I'm sorry, but that's a bad idea. I was walking through and there was nobody in the pool and the only person (there) was Paul Feig, my director, and I wiped out (fell) so hard, my feet were above my head.
"I landed so hard and Paul was just frozen because he knew I was hurt," McCarthy recalled.
McCarthy says her back was out of two days as a result of the fall.
It wasn't McCarthy's only fall during the Spy shoot - she was hit with another case of bad luck when she slipped on a waxed floor onset and again ended up on her back.
