Iggy Azalea has slammed the media for alleging a feud between her and the co-star of her new video Britney Spears, saying the pair are friends and the media are making her out to be a "mean girl".
The Aussie rapper stirred up some drama during a Twitter Q&A with fans on Monday when she said she thought her collaboration with Britney Spears, Pretty Girls, should have been promoted more.
The song reached No. 27 on the Aussie charts and number 29 in the US.
Azalea said it was difficult to "send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. unfortunately I'm just featured..."
The comment was seen as a dig at Spears, although Azalea denied that.
"My comment is factual, it applies to any song," she tweeted.
Not long after Azalea's comments, Spears promoted her upcoming show in Vegas, which was interpreted by some as a dig at Azalea who had cancelled her own upcoming tour.
It might sound like a fight from the Lindsay Lohan-film Mean Girls, but Azalea has hit back again on Twitter, taking aim at the media for twisting her words.
Spears' camp has remained silent while Azalea gave one last shout-out to bloggers.
