Film buffs, pick your teams. Registrations for the annual V 48 Hour Film Festival start this Monday March 1, quite a bit earlier than last year.
You can test your gear (and your team-mates) at a pre-competition, which is then broadcast to YouTube, where teams have to recreate a famous movie scene in less than 48 seconds - with V cans, bottles or shots as some of the major props, themes or characters. Previous runners-up have included Planet of V Apes and No V For Old Men. Just remember your films must comply with broadcasting rules to make it to national TV.
The actual shoot weekend - which is officially NZ's largest film competition - is over April 16 and 17 and teams have 48 hours, obviously.
The heats will screen from April 20-29 with the city finals on May 8.
And a TV show screening clips of craziness will run from April 28 with the grand final broadcast on May 20.
