There’s nothing nicer than a cuppa made with your very own homegrown herbs or flowers. Some will benefit from being dried, but with fresh herbs, all you need to do is put a big handful (about one cup for 4 to 6 cups of tea) of your chosen herbs such as mint and lemon verbena or petals into a teapot of boiled water. Use a spoon to swirl it a bit and press on the leaves to help release more flavour. Let the brew steep for 5 to 10 minutes then drain it. You don’t have milk in herbal tea and it tastes best sweetened with honey.
