Four people were arrested today in Taranaki after a three-month investigation into the distribution of cannabis in the region.
Two women from Hawera, aged 43 and 45, a 21-year-old man also from Hawera, and a 49-year-old man from Patea were arrested. Police also recovered bags of dried cannabis, 64 cannabis seedlings and large sums of cash, a police spokeswoman said.
The Patea man was bailed to appear at Hawera District Court court next Tuesday.
The three people from Hawera were in Hawera District Court today facing drugs charges, with the 43-year-old woman remanded in custody and the other two bailed, all to reappear on Tuesday.
