Say goodbye to midnight pizza orders, Uber EATS is coming to New Zealand.
The food delivery app from shared ride service Uber will be coming to Auckland early 2017, after launching in the US and Australia in March this year.
The app is designed to deliver food from local restaurants and give people access to a broader selection of restaurants and food they can have delivered to their home.
Uber confirmed it would be introducing the app to Auckland early next year after
five job listings appeared on Uber's website for senior positions with Uber EATS.
The role of Restaurant Operations Manager calls for someone who will "have a pulse on city-specific preferences & food trends by integrating yourself into the restaurant scene in New Zealand."
Uber said an official date for launch hadn't been set.
The app is available in 50 cities around the world in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa.
In Australia, food delivery apps have been on the rise this year.
While pizza and fast food are still on the menu, more than 130 cuisines can be ordered from the new services.
A study by YouGov in June found almost half of all Australians had ordered food online, and most would do it again.
