Wealthy Auckland-based hotel investors CP Group have bought the Novotel Ibis Auckland Ellerslie for $55 million.
Dean Humphries, national hotel director at Colliers International, announced the sale which he said was the highest price paid for a non-CBD hotel in New Zealand.
CP is owned by the highly successful Pandy family which operates from 87 Queen St and has a strong alliance with French-headquartered Accor which manages many of CP's hotels throughout the country.
The Novotel near the Greenlane interchange of Auckland's Southern Motorway has 247 rooms and was built in 2000.
