The hunt is on for New Zealand's top 50 green businesses - those which make the most money improving the environment.
The Green 50 List, compiled by strategic and market research specialist New River, will in June reveal the best performing businesses in the fast growing sector.
New River managing director Roger Parker said the list could also include companies doing things such as reducing pollution, saving resources or biodiversity, enabling sustainability.
"New Zealand as a whole will benefit from understanding the magnitude of our current green economy and the leaders driving the growth in this area."
New River is interviewing business leaders across all sectors to build the list.
Companies will be ranked by a mix of revenue and growth rate.
Successful companies improving the environment can also apply to be considered for the list, which will be published annually from June 2012.
Companies will be ranked by a mix of revenue and growth rate. All applications will be treated in confidence. To participate contact Roger Parker at roger@newriver.co.nz or phone Ph: +64 9 307 5855.
