NZX chief executive Mark Weldon has sold 2 million shares in the company for $4.68 million, partly to buy a property.
Funds from the sale yesterday had also been used by Weldon to fund the purchase of 896,264 NZX shares under the terms of the company's 2007 chief executive share plan, NZX said.
Weldon holds more than 6 million NZX shares, or 4.98 per cent of the total.
