Telecom says a glitch affecting some of its retail broadband customers, has been resolved.
The telco said a technical fault meant some of its customers were unable to log on to the internet for a time this morning.
"Other customers may have found their existing internet sessions interrupted by the fault," a statement from the company said.
Anyone who was still experiencing problems with their connection should switch their modem and computer off at the wall for a few minutes before rebooting their computer, a Telecom spokeswoman said.
The cause of the fault was being investigated, she said.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused."
