International passenger volumes were up 2.4 per cent in October from the same month last year, according to the latest traffic update from Auckland Airport.
The number of domestic passengers rose 3.3 per cent.
A breakdown of arrivals showed a 23.1 per cent increase in visitors from Australia, a 17.8 per cent increase from India and a 12.6 per cent increase from China.
Arrivals from the UK dropped 10.4 per cent, and from Japan dropped 16.3 per cent.
Arrivals from the Republic of Korea dropped 26.2 per cent.
There was a 14.7 per cent fall in arrivals for medical and education reasons. and a 9. 9 per cent rise in holidaymakers.
